A cash machine was stolen from a Nationwide bank branch in Ramsey following a ram-raid, according to an article published on 18 June 2026. Cambridgenews reports that a group of offenders used a vehicle to crash into the building’s facade, enabling them to extract the ATM from its location. Surveillance cameras installed near the bank captured the incident in full, providing investigators with usable footage to pursue the case.
Local authorities have opened an investigation to identify the gang members and determine the exact amount stolen. Police are currently analysing the video recordings to trace the suspects’ movements following their escape. Businesses should ensure ATMs and cash handling areas are protected with robust physical barriers and regularly monitored security systems.
