According to Northernirelandworld, Javin McClure, from East Antrim, appeared in court via videolink accused of burglary at Larne Football Club, following an alleged incident reported to the authorities. Larne Football Club requested CCTV footage in relation to the alleged burglary, which was presented during the court proceedings.
The case highlights the vulnerability of community sports facilities to theft and break-ins. Clubs and sports organisations should ensure that comprehensive CCTV systems are in place and regularly maintained, access points are properly secured, and inventory records are kept to aid investigation if a burglary occurs.
