In an attempt to smash the shop window, the man used a parasol base as a projectile, striking the storefront repeatedly. Despite the force of the blows, he was unable to break through the window or gain access to the premises. The incident was recorded by CCTV cameras, documenting the failed break-in attempt.
Authorities confirmed the suspect’s identity and highlighted his status as a repeat offender. The unusual nature of the weapon used has attracted attention from local media covering the incident, which was published on 23 October 2025.
Commercial premises should ensure windows and entry points are reinforced and monitored with working CCTV systems to deter break-in attempts.
