According to an article published on 18 October 2025, intruders broke into the Bristol Zoo Project site. Bristolpost reports that trespassers were condemned for the incident, during which they filmed gorillas at the zoo. The BBC further noted that the intruders were distressing the animals on the premises.
While details about the breach method and extent of any damage remain limited, the incident highlights security vulnerabilities at the facility. Zoo staff expressed concern about the stress caused to the animals by the unauthorised access.
For facilities housing valuable animals or equipment, installing comprehensive perimeter fencing, surveillance cameras, and access controls—combined with regular security patrols—can significantly deter unauthorised entry and protect both assets and resident wildlife.
