On 30 June 2024, Liam Middleton-Gomm broke into Thames Wharf Studios in west London and stole around £5,000 worth of goods. The items taken included paintings, electronic items, clothing and a pram, according to the Standard. Middleton-Gomm, 36, subsequently pleaded guilty to the burglary. Art studios and creative spaces often contain valuable equipment and work; securing entry points, installing motion-sensor lighting, and maintaining an inventory of high-value items can help deter and prevent such incidents.
