According to Portsmouth, a Gosport man has been jailed for two years following a burglary of an occupied home. The court described the incident as demonstrating “brazen criminality” due to the fact that the residents were still inside the property at the time of the offence, as reported in an article published on 29 August 2025.
Homeowners should ensure windows and doors are locked when at home, even during the day, and consider installing additional security measures such as door and window alarms.
