According to Hulllive, a serial offender with a long criminal history participated in looting at a retail premises in Hull city centre during violent disorder that broke out on 3 August 2024. The individual was described as having taken part in “looting of the worst kind” during the incident. Given the commercial nature of the target and the circumstances, such incidents remind business owners of the importance of security measures including visible deterrents, alarm systems, and coordinated communication with local law enforcement during periods of public unrest.
