A shop owner on Freeman Street in Grimsby was threatened with a knife during an armed robbery, according to reports published on 28 March 2024. The robbers fled the scene with £400, Grimsbylive reports.
Multiple individuals were arrested and subsequently charged in connection with the incident. Following court proceedings, offenders were convicted and imprisoned for the knifepoint robbery, which authorities described as “indefensible” given the weapon used and threat posed to the shop worker, according to Grimsbylive and BBC reports.
Business owners are advised to install visible CCTV, maintain clear sightlines inside the shop, and establish emergency procedures with staff to minimize risk during armed robberies.
