According to Rhyljournal, a man broke into a Bargain Booze off-licence in Rhyl and stole approximately £1,300 worth of cigarettes. The incident was reported in an article published on 9 July 2024. The suspect was described as having an “appalling record” in relation to the theft.
Commercial premises such as off-licences remain attractive targets for burglars due to the high value of stock that can be quickly converted to cash. Business owners should ensure robust security measures including CCTV, alarms, and secure storage of high-value items like tobacco products.
