Attempted ATM theft at Southend-on-Sea seafront shop

The incident occurred at Noble’s Extra Premier on Eastern Esplanade during the early hours of Tuesday, at approximately 1am, while the premises were closed.
Echonews reports that the store owner discovered the damage upon opening the shop, noting that the ATM had been rendered unusable with wires hanging out and parts of the unit ripped away. The owner stated that the cash machine serves as a vital component for attracting customers to the business, particularly during difficult trading periods. While the owner was informed by police that an individual had been caught in connection with the incident, the future of the machine remains uncertain as the shop awaits repairs or a replacement.
