Residential burglary in Whitley Bay
According to an article published on 10 March 2026 by Examinerlive, a resident in Whitley Bay encountered a stranger inside her bedroom at approximately 5pm on 13 July 2025. The intruder, identified as 45-year-old Joseph Bell, claimed he was lost when confronted by the homeowner. Bell was subsequently ushered out of the property.
Examinerlive reports that shortly after the encounter, the victim received notifications regarding unauthorized transactions on her bank card. The card had been stolen from a purse located in the bedroom, along with other personal items. CCTV footage from a local Co-op store later confirmed Bell’s presence as he attempted to use the stolen card.
