Residential burglary in Berkshire

According to an article published on 12 November 2025 by Readingchronicle, Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling has been the victim of a break-in at his luxury home in Berkshire. The incident occurred on a Saturday evening while the 30-year-old was at home with his family.

Readingchronicle reports that the intruders were disturbed during the break-in and fled the premises before they could take any belongings. A representative for Sterling confirmed that the footballer and his children were present during the event, but noted that all family members are safe.

This incident follows previous burglaries involving the player, including a 2022 break-in at his former residence in Surrey where jewellery and watches were taken, and a 2018 attempt at his home in Cheshire, which was thwarted by an alarm system. Thames Valley Police have been approached for comment regarding the latest intrusion. Ensuring that home security systems are fully operational and regularly tested is an essential step in deterring potential intruders.
