Vehicle used in Waterbeach commercial burglary
According to an article published by Cambridgenews on 10 October 2025, a bike shop located on Ely Road in Waterbeach was the target of a burglary on the evening of Monday, 6 October. Cambridgeshire Police reported that they were called to the scene at 9:35 p.m. following reports of an incident at C6 Bikes.
Cambridgenews reports that a dark-coloured 4×4 vehicle was used to ram the shop’s roller doors to force them open. CCTV footage from the premises captured the vehicle and showed that a fog was dispersed inside the shop, apparently to obscure the camera view. Although the shop was breached, police confirmed that nothing was taken during the incident. Officers arrived within 10 minutes of the initial call, but the suspects had already fled the area.
This marks the third time the business has been targeted. Police are currently appealing for information regarding the burglary and have requested that anyone with details contact them quoting crime reference 35/76110/25 or by calling 101.
Business owners are encouraged to regularly review and reinforce the physical security of their premises to deter unauthorized access.
