Burglary at Co-op store in Worthing

According to Sussexexpress, Sussex Police are investigating a burglary that occurred at a Co-op store located on Manor Parade, Salvington Road, in Worthing. The incident took place at approximately 2am on Friday, 10 October 2025.

Sussexexpress reports that a Toyota Hilux was driven into the store’s shutters. Police state that two men entered the premises and removed an automated cash machine (ATM). The suspects subsequently abandoned the vehicle and transferred the ATM into a waiting car, where a third individual was present.

Detective Sgt Fraser Lockey has appealed for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam, doorbell, or CCTV footage to come forward. Information can be provided by calling 101, quoting serial 86 of 10/10, or by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously.

Business owners are encouraged to review their security measures, including the installation of reinforced shutters and high-definition surveillance systems, to deter unauthorized access.
