Police appeal following Uttoxeter off-licence break-in
According to Birminghammail, Staffordshire Police have launched an investigation following a burglary at the Bossman Booze store located on Market Place in Uttoxeter. The incident occurred overnight between Christmas night and Boxing Day morning, December 26, 2023.
Staff discovered the break-in at 9.30am and contacted the authorities. According to Birminghammail, the suspects cleared the shop’s shelves, stealing all available cigarettes, the majority of the store’s stock of vapes, and a quantity of alcohol. Staffordshire Police have since released CCTV images of two men they wish to speak to in connection with the theft, noting that a third individual is also believed to have been involved in the incident.
The suspects were described as wearing hooded jackets and having beards. One individual was seen carrying a bag, while the other held a long object. Police are urging anyone with relevant information to contact them quoting incident number 102 of 26 December, or to report details anonymously via Crimestoppers. Business owners are encouraged to regularly review and upgrade their security systems, including CCTV and alarm coverage, to deter potential intruders.
