Residential burglary in Winthorpe
According to an article published by Westbridgfordwire on 13 December 2024, a residential property in Winthorpe, Nottinghamshire, was targeted in a burglary. The incident is believed to have occurred at approximately 5:10 pm on Wednesday, 11 December.
Westbridgfordwire reports that intruders gained entry to the home on Gainsborough Road by smashing a window. The property was left in a state of disarray, with muddy footprints found throughout the house. A variety of items were stolen during the break-in, including a designer Chanel handbag, an antique silver teapot, a silver sugar bowl, and various pieces of jewellery.
Sergeant Mark Walker of Nottinghamshire Police has appealed for anyone with information or relevant CCTV, doorbell, or dash-cam footage to come forward. Witnesses are encouraged to contact the police by calling 101, quoting incident 545 of 11 December 2024, or to report information anonymously via Crimestoppers.
Ensure all windows and doors are securely locked and consider installing a monitored alarm system to deter unauthorized entry.
