Pharmacy burglary leads to jail sentences
According to an article published by Nottinghampost on 11 November 2024, three men have been jailed following a burglary at a pharmacy in Mansfield. The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday, 2 November, when a police officer responding to an alarm spotted the suspects crawling out of a broken window on Rosemary Street.
Nottinghampost reports that Dean Graves, 51, and Jamie Harris, 35, were apprehended following the incident, while Jason Smith, 49, was identified through CCTV footage. Although the men had their faces covered during the break-in, police were able to identify them using images recorded in the vicinity shortly before the crime. All three individuals appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court and received six-month prison sentences.
Investigator Caitlin Hill of Nottinghamshire Police noted that such crimes are highly damaging to local businesses and expressed satisfaction with the swift apprehension of the offenders.
