Burglary at a bike shop in Brighton Marina

According to an article published on 31 July 2024 by Theargus, Sussex Police are investigating a burglary at an e-bike shop located in Brighton Marina. The incident occurred on 19 July at approximately 1.45am.

Theargus reports that CCTV footage shows five men, all wearing face coverings and grey or black tracksuits, using weapons to smash the shop’s door. The suspects stole six electric mountain bikes from the premises. According to the report, the stolen items were loaded into a silver Ford Transit van before the group fled the scene in a blue BMW.

Sussex Police are requesting that anyone with information, or those who may have been offered an electric mountain bike for sale under suspicious circumstances, contact the authorities. Reports can be made via the police website or by calling 101, quoting reference 96 of 19/07. Information can also be provided anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers.

Business owners are encouraged to ensure that their security systems, including CCTV and alarm monitors, are regularly tested and fully operational.
