Attempted robbery at a corner shop in Wallasey
According to an article published by Liverpoolecho on 22 July 2024, a man has been charged following an attempted robbery at a corner shop in Wallasey. Merseyside Police were called to the Kings Convenience Store on King Street at approximately 4:45pm on Saturday, 20 July.
Liverpoolecho reports that a man entered the premises and threatened both staff and a customer with a knife while demanding cash from the till. The suspect eventually left the shop empty-handed, and no injuries were reported during the incident. Officers arrived at the scene shortly after the report and arrested a man in the vicinity.
Zack Wylde, 19, of Bulkeley Road, Seacombe, has been charged with attempted robbery and possession of a bladed article in a public place. He is scheduled to appear at the Wirral Adult Remand Court.
