Break-in at Dufftown supermarket
According to Northernscot, a supermarket located on Fife Street in Dufftown has been closed until further notice following a break-in. The incident occurred at approximately 1am on June 7, 2024.
Northernscot reports that the Co-op store was the target of the burglary, during which a sum of cash was stolen. The store manager has confirmed the closure via social media while police investigations remain ongoing.
Detective Sergeant Richard Cooper has issued an appeal for information from the public. Authorities are specifically requesting that anyone with private CCTV or dash-cam footage from the area at the time of the incident come forward. Those with information are encouraged to contact the police on 101, quoting incident 0152 of June 7, 2024, or to call Crimestoppers anonymously at 0800 555 111.
Business owners are encouraged to regularly review and upgrade their security systems, including CCTV and alarm monitoring, to deter unauthorized access.
