Ram raid at a shop in Market Deeping
According to an article published on 28 March 2024 by the BBC, a man has been arrested in connection with the theft of a cash point from a shop in Market Deeping. Lincolnshire Police report that the incident occurred during a ram raid in the early hours of Wednesday.
The BBC reports that a yellow JCB is believed to have been used to gain access to the store. Following the breach, three masked individuals loaded the cash machine onto a transit van before fleeing the scene. The arrested individual, a man in his 20s from Cambridgeshire, has since been released on bail while the investigation continues.
Business owners are encouraged to review their security measures and consider installing bollards or reinforced barriers to prevent vehicle-based intrusions.
