Residential burglary reported in Moodiesburn
According to an article published by Glasgowlive on 23 March 2024, police have launched an investigation following a burglary at a private residence in the Cambourne Road area of Moodiesburn. The incident occurred at approximately 7:15pm on Friday, 22 March.
Glasgowlive reports that three suspects, all described as wearing black tracksuits, hooded tops, gloves, and face coverings, entered the property while the family was away. The intruders stole two metal safes along with other items. Although the residents were not present during the break-in, the event has left them considerably alarmed and upset.
Detective Constable David Forde of Coatbridge CID has appealed to the public for any information or footage from private CCTV or dash-cams that may assist in the ongoing investigation. Authorities have requested that anyone with relevant details contact the police via 101, quoting reference 3295 of 22 March 2024, or provide information anonymously through Crimestoppers.
Ensure all entry points to your home are securely locked and consider installing a monitored alarm system to deter potential intruders.
