Residential burglaries reported in West Lothian

According to an article published by Edinburghlive on 3 February 2024, Police Scotland are investigating two residential break-ins that occurred in West Lothian on Thursday, 1 February 2024.

In the first incident, thieves broke into a house on Gavin Place in Livingston between 4:05pm and 4:55pm, stealing a four-figure sum of cash. Later that same day, between 5:30pm and 5:50pm, a second property was targeted at Learielaw View in Broxburn, though nothing was reported stolen.

Detective Christopher Watson of Livingston CID stated that investigators are not ruling out the possibility that the two incidents are linked. Police are appealing for anyone with private CCTV or dash-cam footage from the area to come forward. Information can be provided to Police Scotland by calling 101, quoting incident number 2518 or 2988 of 1 February 2024, or anonymously through Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.

Ensure all windows and doors are securely locked when leaving your property unattended.
