Police appeal following jewellery store burglary in Oldham
According to an article published by Oldhamchronicle on 5 January 2024, Greater Manchester Police have issued an appeal for information following a burglary at an H Samuel jewellery store located in the Town Square Shopping Centre in Oldham.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, 2 January 2024, at approximately 3:45pm. Oldhamchronicle reports that the suspect entered the premises posing as a customer before reaching into a glass cabinet to seize three gold chains. The stolen items are valued at £1,200. The individual then fled the scene in the direction of the high street.
No arrests have been made at this stage of the investigation. Authorities have released an image of a man they wish to speak with, as they believe he may be able to assist with their enquiries. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the police by calling 101, quoting log 1929 of 02/01/2024, or by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously.
Business owners are encouraged to ensure that high-value display cabinets are securely locked and monitored by staff at all times.
