Ram-raid reported at Asda Express in Weston-super-Mare

According to Bristolpost, a ram-raid occurred at an Asda Express petrol station on the A371 in Weston-super-Mare during the early hours of Friday, 23 May 2025. Avon and Somerset Police were called to the scene at 3.44am following reports that a group of men were attempting to force entry into the building.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that the suspects had caused significant damage to the entrance before fleeing the area. A black Porsche Cayenne and a grey Ford S-Max were found abandoned and damaged at the site. It is believed that the group, described as wearing black clothing and balaclavas, escaped in a blue Audi Q5. Despite a search of the area supported by a specialist dog unit, no suspects were located.

An investigation is currently underway, and a police cordon remains in place to allow for forensic examinations. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage and have requested that anyone with information contact them using reference number 5225143650.

Business owners are encouraged to review their site security measures, including the installation of robust bollards and reinforced entry points, to deter unauthorized vehicle access.
