Armed robbery reported at Haringey jewellers

According to an article published on 27 February 2026 by the Standard, a jewellery store in Haringey was the target of an armed robbery. CCTV footage shows four individuals dressed in black and wearing motorcycle helmets entering the Bilezzik Turkish gold shop on Green Lanes. The suspects used hammers to smash glass counters and seize jewellery.

The Standard reports that the suspects arrived on mopeds and were armed with what appeared to be a machete. During the incident, local residents confronted the group, with some members of the public attempting to intervene as the suspects fled the scene. No injuries were reported during the encounter.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed they were called to the scene at 10:04hrs on Tuesday, 24 February. Officers arrived shortly after, but no arrests have been made at this stage. An investigation is currently ongoing, and authorities are appealing for anyone with information to contact the police. Business owners are encouraged to review their security measures and ensure that alarm systems and surveillance equipment are fully operational to deter potential intruders.
