Armed robbery at Cash Converters in Tamworth
According to an article published on 10 August 2024 by Stokesentinel, Staffordshire Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a Cash Converters store in Tamworth. Stokesentinel reports that officers were called to the scene at 4:40 pm on Friday, 9 August, following reports that two masked men had entered the premises.
The suspects threatened staff members using a machete and a hammer. Following the incident, the two men fled through the back door and entered a waiting black Ford Focus, which featured tinted windows and lacked both front and rear number plates. The vehicle was reportedly driven the wrong way down a one-way street and around a roundabout.
Staffordshire Police describe the suspects as white males in their early 20s with stocky builds, both wearing black hoodies and black jogging bottoms. One suspect wore a balaclava, while the other wore a bucket hat, glasses, and a scarf. Authorities are appealing for anyone with relevant CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage to contact them quoting incident number 496 of 9 August.
