An ATM ram-raid and robbery occurred on Chitterman Way in Markfield on 24 November 2025, causing significant damage to a store, according to Leicestermercury. The incident led to a road closure in both directions as Leicestershire Police responded to the scene.
Following the raid, officers launched a hunt for the suspects responsible. The damage inflicted on the premises during the ram-raid was substantial enough to warrant the road closure and emergency response.
