According to Northernirelandworld, two men broke into and removed cash from an ATM at a service station in Portadown. The suspects fled the scene minutes before the PSNI (Police Service of Northern Ireland) arrived at the location.
The incident, reported on 27 May 2025, was initially described as an attempted robbery. While details about the amount of cash taken or the exact circumstances remain limited, the swift response by authorities prevented further incidents at the service station in County Armagh.
Business owners should ensure ATMs and cash handling areas are well-lit, monitored by CCTV, and regularly serviced to minimise the time machines remain vulnerable to criminal activity.
