Ram raid reported at Burwell supermarket
According to Hellorayo, police are investigating a ram raid that occurred at an Asda store in Burwell. The incident, reported on 17 June 2026, involved the use of a stolen telehandler and two additional vehicles to extract a cash machine from the front of the premises.
Hellorayo reports that this event marks the second ram raid to occur in Cambridgeshire within a two-day period. Detective Inspector Jim Donington stated that dedicated patrols have been deployed while the investigation into both incidents continues.
Authorities are currently seeking information from the public regarding the incident. They are specifically requesting that anyone who witnessed suspicious activity, observed unusual vehicles, or possesses relevant dashcam, doorbell, or CCTV footage contact the police to assist with their inquiries.
