Thieves made off with an ATM after deliberately crashing a truck into a shop in Bridge of Weir, according to BBC reporting on the incident. The operation, reported in an article published on 18 August 2025, saw the criminals use the vehicle as a tool to breach the building and access the cash machine.
The method employed by the thieves — ramming a vehicle into the storefront — is a tactic that has been used in burglaries across the UK in recent years.
