Attempted break-in at Kidsgrove salon

According to an article published on 6 May 2026 by Stokesentinel, police are appealing for witnesses following an attempted burglary at a salon in Kidsgrove. The incident occurred at Laura Hewitt Nails and Beauty on Market Street between 3:30pm on Saturday, 3 May, and 9:45am on Sunday, 4 May.

Stokesentinel reports that while nothing was stolen during the incident, a door at the business was damaged. Staffordshire Police confirmed that officers and forensic investigators attended the scene to gather evidence, and inquiries into the matter are currently ongoing.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the police on 101, quoting incident number 169 of 4 May, or to provide information anonymously through Crimestoppers at 0800 555111.

Business owners are encouraged to regularly inspect their premises and ensure all entry points are properly secured to deter unauthorized access.
