Commercial burglary in Clacton
According to an article published on 3 May 2024 by the Clactonandfrintongazette, a hair salon located in Old Road, Clacton, was targeted by a group of three men shortly after midnight on 2 May. CCTV footage shows the individuals lingering outside the premises before one of them uses a brick to smash the front door.
The Clactonandfrintongazette reports that the suspects ransacked the business and fled the scene with over £200 worth of property. A passer-by alerted the police during the incident. The salon owner, who opened the business earlier this year, expressed feeling violated by the intrusion and has since initiated plans to upgrade security measures, including installing an alarm system and additional cameras.
Essex Police have launched an investigation into the burglary. Authorities are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to contact them via 101, quoting reference number 42/68600/23.
Business owners are encouraged to regularly review and upgrade their security systems, including alarms and reinforced glass, to deter unauthorized access.
