Police appeal for information regarding Runcorn pub burglary

According to an article published on 20 August 2025 by Chesterstandard, Cheshire Police have issued a CCTV appeal following a burglary at The Ferry Boat pub in Runcorn. The incident reportedly took place on Wednesday, July 23, at approximately 12.30pm.

Chesterstandard reports that two men entered the premises on Church Street. It is alleged that one individual, wearing light-coloured clothing, distracted staff by requesting to speak with the manager. During this time, a second man in dark-coloured clothing allegedly accessed the pub office and removed cash from the safe. Both men subsequently left the scene.

PC Dan Butler has urged anyone who recognizes the individuals captured in the CCTV images to contact Cheshire Police on 101, quoting reference IML 2139320. Information can also be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers.

Business owners are encouraged to ensure that office areas remain locked and restricted to authorized personnel at all times to prevent unauthorized access.
