Commercial burglary in Winslow
According to an article published by Bucksherald on 27 February 2025, a Co-op store located on Winslow High Street has been destroyed following a cashpoint burglary. Thames Valley Police confirmed that a John Deere telehandler was used to ram the front wall of the shop on 26 February. Once the wall was breached, the offenders used the vehicle to remove the store’s cash machine.
The stolen machinery has since been recovered by authorities, and investigations are ongoing. This incident marks the second time the shop has been targeted in less than a month; on 12 February, burglars broke into the same premises by smashing the front door and stealing various products.
Thames Valley Police are requesting that anyone with information regarding the case contact them by calling 101 and quoting reference number 43250097108.
Business owners are encouraged to review their security measures and consider installing bollards or reinforced barriers to protect storefronts from vehicle-ramming attempts.
