According to reports published on 31 December 2024, a thief gained access to a mansion in Primrose Hill, Greater London, via the roof and stole jewellery worth £10.4m. The property belonged to Instagram influencer Shafira Huang. Following the burglary, the victims offered a reward of up to £1.5m for the recovery of the stolen items. The Telegraph reports that the burglar is thought to have entered the home in an unusual manner, described as moving through the house “like Spiderman”.
Residential burglaries targeting high-value items often exploit overlooked entry points such as roofs and upper-storey access; ensuring all potential entry routes are secured, alarmed and monitored is essential to prevent theft.
