Burglary reported in Bromley
According to an article published on 7 August 2025 by Countypress, burglars stole £500,000 worth of jewellery from a private home in Bromley. The Metropolitan Police reported that the incident occurred on the evening of Monday, 30 December 2024.
Countypress reports that three men forced entry through a bathroom window between 5.40pm and 6.25pm while the owners were away. The stolen items included family heirlooms, which Detective Constable Jamie White described as having priceless sentimental value. Police have released images of the unique pieces in an effort to trace them.
Authorities are requesting that anyone with information regarding the stolen goods contact the Metropolitan Police via 101, quoting reference 01/1257889/24, or speak anonymously to Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
Ensure all windows and doors are securely locked whenever the property is left unattended.
