Police investigate ram raid in Weaverham
According to an article published by Northwichguardian on 16 June 2025, Cheshire Police are investigating a ram raid that occurred at a Tesco Express supermarket on Northwich Road. The incident took place in the early hours of Monday, June 16.
Northwichguardian reports that three masked men, all wearing balaclavas and dark clothing, used a silver 4×4 vehicle to smash into the supermarket to steal an amount of cash. Following the incident, the suspects fled the scene in the same vehicle, heading towards Acton Bridge.
Detective Sergeant John Lyons of Cheshire Police has appealed for witnesses or anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage of the offenders to come forward. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are following several lines of enquiry. Members of the public with information are encouraged to contact Cheshire Police on 101 or reach out to the crime charity Crimestoppers.
Business owners are encouraged to review their security measures, including the installation of reinforced bollards and high-quality surveillance systems, to deter vehicle-based intrusions.
