Police appeal following Horsforth ram raid
According to an article published on 31 December 2024 by Thetelegraphandargus, West Yorkshire Police have issued an appeal to identify a suspect following a ram raid at the Station Vape Shop on Station Road, Horsforth.
The incident occurred on Sunday, December 29, at 6.50am. According to Thetelegraphandargus, two suspects used a car to reverse into the shop front to gain entry. The raid resulted in an estimated £10,000 in stock loss and structural damage to the premises.
Thetelegraphandargus reports that Lewis Mayne, 20, has been charged with burglary and aggravated vehicle taking in connection with the incident. He appeared at Leeds Magistrates Court and has been remanded in custody. Police are now seeking information to identify a second suspect. Business owners are encouraged to review their security measures, including the installation of reinforced shop fronts and bollards, to deter vehicle-based intrusions.
