Police launched an investigation after a jewellery store in Leeds was targeted in a ram-raid attack. According to the Yorkshire Post, robbers crashed a Toyota RAV4 into Mirpur Jewellers on Harehills Road at approximately 18:30, breaching the shop front. Once inside, the offenders used hammers to smash display cabinets and display cases to steal jewellery.
The violent nature of the attack prompted armed officers to be deployed to the scene. Detectives appealed for witnesses with information about the incident and the individuals responsible. Business owners should ensure CCTV systems are in place, review alarm responses with local police, and consider additional security measures such as reinforced storefronts and secure cash handling procedures.
