Residential burglary in East Calder
According to Stv, a private home in Langton Grove, East Calder, was ransacked during a burglary on 31 December 2023. The incident occurred at approximately 7.45pm. Perpetrators stole various possessions, including the keys to a red Audi RS3, which was subsequently taken from the scene. The vehicle, which had the registration XR63 ACH, also contained its original plates, GX68 WDZ, in the boot.
Stv reports that Police Scotland are currently investigating the incident and are searching for a five-door, grey Volkswagen Golf in connection with the theft. Officers have conducted extensive enquiries, including a review of local CCTV footage. Detective Sergeant John Irvine is appealing for anyone who noticed suspicious activity in the area or possesses doorbell camera footage to come forward. Information can be provided to Police Scotland by calling 101, quoting incident number 0627 of 1 January 2024, or anonymously via Crimestoppers.
Ensure all doors and windows are securely locked and consider installing visible security measures to deter potential intruders.
