Burglary at a Newcastle Quayside restaurant
According to an article published on 24 June 2026, a serial burglar has been convicted following a theft at a popular restaurant located on the Newcastle Quayside. Chroniclelive reports that the perpetrator used an electric grinder to force open the establishment’s safe.
The total value of the cash stolen during the incident is reported as 740,000 Kenyan shillings. Following his arrest, the suspect appeared before judicial authorities and entered a guilty plea regarding the charges brought against him.
