Robbery at Aldi in Hednesford
According to an article published by Birminghammail on 23 April 2024, Staffordshire Police are seeking to identify two individuals following a robbery at an Aldi supermarket located on Victoria Street in Hednesford.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, 17 April, at approximately 8.15pm. According to Birminghammail, a man and a woman entered the premises and removed food and drink without payment. During the encounter, the man threatened staff members with a screwdriver. Police confirmed that no injuries were sustained during the event.
Staffordshire Police have released CCTV images of the suspects. The man is described as being of mixed heritage, in his 30s, of slim build, wearing a white jacket, a black beanie, and a patterned jacket underneath. The woman is described as having blonde hair and wearing glasses, a black jacket, and a blue knitted hat. She was accompanied by a pushchair.
Authorities are requesting that anyone with information contact them by calling 101, quoting incident 622 of 17 April, or by using the Live Chat feature on the Staffordshire Police website. Anonymous reports can also be made via Crimestoppers.
Businesses are encouraged to review their security protocols and ensure staff are trained on how to respond safely during confrontational incidents.
