Burglary incident reported in Newark
According to an article published on 3 April 2026, a man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary following an incident at a private home in Newark, Nottinghamshire. The BBC reports that officers attended the property after receiving a report regarding the intruder.
Upon arrival, police discovered a 24-year-old man sleeping in a child’s bed within the house. The Independent notes that bodycam footage captured the moment officers woke the individual inside the bedroom. The suspect was subsequently taken into custody by local authorities.
