A dessert shop near Bolton fell victim to a break-in, but the intruder’s attempt to conceal himself proved unsuccessful. According to a report published on 13 March 2026, a police patrol noticed suspicious activity at the premises and entered to investigate. Inside, officers discovered a 28-year-old man hiding in a fridge, where he had apparently tried to evade capture.
Business owners should ensure that emergency exits are clearly marked and functional, security cameras cover all areas including storage spaces, and staff are trained to report unusual signs of entry or disturbance immediately to the police.
