Two men have been jailed following the theft of around £180,000 of jewellery from Levins Fine Jewellery in Nottingham. According to the BBC, a gang broke into the shop on Upper Parliament Street in the early hours of 4 February 2024, stealing precious items in what press reports describe as an expertly executed raid.

The Nottinghampost reported that the masked gang targeted the city centre jeweller in a daring heist, whilst Professional Jeweller detailed how police tracked down the pair responsible for the break-in. Both men were subsequently convicted and jailed for their involvement in the theft.

Jewellery retailers should strengthen physical security measures, including reinforced display cases, alarm systems, and CCTV coverage, whilst training staff on emergency procedures to deter and delay burglars.
