Violent home burglary in Kimberley

According to an article published on 20 January 2026 by the BBC, Nottinghamshire Police are appealing for information following a violent high-value burglary at a private home on Knowle Lane in Kimberley. The incident occurred on 4 December 2025 at 19:40 GMT.

The BBC reports that five masked men, armed with a sledgehammer and a pickaxe, forced entry into the property. During the incident, the occupants were attacked and coerced into revealing the location of high-value items. The intruders stole a collection of luxury watches, including Audemars Piguet, Rolex, and Omega models, as well as several designer handbags from brands such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and Chanel.

Police estimate the total value of the stolen goods and property damage to be nearly £1m. Investigators tracked a grey hatchback with false plates via automatic number plate recognition, which was seen in the area during the evening of the crime. Crimestoppers has offered a £7,500 reward for information leading to an arrest. Detectives continue to investigate the incident, noting the significant trauma inflicted upon the victims.
