Police have launched an appeal following a house burglary in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, in which a VW Polo was stolen. According to Dewsburyreporter, the incident prompted a public appeal for information from officers investigating the theft.
The burglary occurred prior to the publication of the police appeal on 11 March 2025. Homeowners in the area are urged to review their security measures, including ensuring doors and windows are locked when away or at night, and considering the installation of visible deterrents such as alarm boxes or security cameras. A registered alarm system or motion-sensor lighting can also significantly reduce the risk of becoming a target for thieves.
