Organised raid targets Ipswich bike shop
According to an article published on 25 March 2025, Pedal Power Cycles in Ipswich was the target of a highly organised burglary. The incident occurred overnight on 21 March, during which offenders systematically disabled CCTV cameras and cut phone lines to gain access to the premises.
According to Roadcc, the shop owner reported that the criminals used bolt cutters to break through a gate before stealing approximately 30 high-value bicycles, including customer bikes left for repairs, as well as various parts and accessories. The owner described the event as devastating, noting that the business has lost all of its stock.
Suffolk Police confirmed that unknown offenders forced entry into the business located on Woodbridge Road, Rushmere St Andrew. The authorities are currently investigating the incident, which resulted in significant criminal damage and the theft of inventory. As of the time of the report, no arrests have been made, and police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
Business owners are encouraged to review their security protocols and ensure that alarm and surveillance systems have redundant communication backups to prevent total system failure during a breach.
