ATM theft reported at Antrim service station
According to an article published by Belfastlive on 20 December 2024, police are investigating the theft of an ATM from a service station located on the Belfast Road in Antrim. The incident is believed to have occurred overnight, with reports suggesting the theft took place at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Friday, 20 December.
Belfastlive reports that the ATM, which contained a sum of cash, was ripped from the wall and taken intact from the premises. PSNI Detective Sergeant Crothers stated that the suspects likely used a pick-up type vehicle towing a trailer to remove the machine. Authorities have conducted forensic enquiries at the scene and are currently reviewing local CCTV footage.
Detectives are appealing to anyone who was in the Belfast Road area at the time and may possess dash-cam footage to contact the police in Ballymena, quoting reference number 240 20/12/24. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crimestoppers.
